Scottsdale invites input from local businesses on procurement and bidding process

Scottsdale is asking local businesses to participate in an online questionnaire aimed at identifying challenges within the city's procurement and bidding processes. Insights gathered will help tailor services and streamline interactions between vendors and the city's purchasing department.


Businesses in the greater Phoenix area are encouraged to participate by Friday, April 18. Participants completing the questionnaire can enter a raffle for $100 gift cards.

The Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) has unveiled a new a creative placemaking campaign, positioning the region as The Most Decorated Region.


The Most Decorated Region strategically leverages our vibrant regional arts and culture as a powerful economic development catalyst, positioning our creative community competitively against global markets, enhancing attractiveness for the modern office sector seeking locations with authentic character and quality of life advantages, which has been a top-10 executive priority since 2016.

City of Hope expands access to cancer care with new Scottsdale location

City of Hope unveiled a new 30,000-square-foot cancer treatment center in Scottsdale, part of the One Scottsdale Medical development.


This facility offers comprehensive oncology services—including exams, infusion treatments, and radiation therapy—all under one roof. It also brings over 50 new jobs to the area.


City of Hope has been operating in the Valley for about three years, primarily serving the West Valley. The new Scottsdale location expands their reach, providing more convenient care options for East Valley residents.

$7 million investment boosts Arizona health tech innovation

Scottsdale based Xcellerant Ventures (XVC) has secured a $7 million funding boost to support Arizona-based health technology startups. This includes a $5 million investment from AZ Venture Capital Inc. (AVC), which spurred an additional $2 million from XVC's investors. The fund focuses on early-stage companies with strong intellectual property and a vision to improve health outcomes.


With half of XVC's portfolio companies headquartered or significantly present in Arizona, this investment aims to further establish the state as a hub for healthcare innovation.
