Individuals who eat their lunch inside will be selected at random by the COMPUTER GENERATED WHEEL to be "Senior of the Month". This grants the person selected FIRST for everything, starting at the beginning of the month from April 1st through April 30th.
The person will also be highlighted in our newsletter for the following month. A new person will be drawn for May 1st.

Give Local York is a 24 hour "Day of Giving" in York, PA. The monies raised for White Rose Senior Center go to support the activities and operations for the Center. The pandemic caused a shortage in our general fundraising for the year so we are blessed to have received these donations!
Thursday May 1st at 9pm and runs through 9pm on Friday May 2nd.
In 2024 we raised over $18,000. (More than 330 Non-Profits in our local community raised $4.64 Million)
This year, our goal is $20,000 and we cannot reach our goal without you! Mark your calendars!

How Do I Receive Congregate Lunches at
White Rose Senior Center?
- You must be 60 or older, a York County Resident and able to take care of yourself in order to become a member at White Rose Senior Center.
- Lunches are served Monday through Friday at 11:30.
- You are invited to eat inside and participate in all of the activities or pick your lunch up in the lobby.
- You do need to call (717-843-9704) or come inside the building and touch the computer screen to reserve your lunch 2 days in advance.

ON THE MOVE
White Rose Senior Center is offering a NEW Exercise Class called On the Move: Group Exercise for Improved Mobility in Older Adults®. (OTM) is a group-based exercise program for older adults designed to target the timing and coordination of walking. The program challenges the brain to match the timing and sequences of your movements with your posture to improve the smoothness and efficiency of walking. OTM has been developed through the University of Pittsburgh.
Stephanie Cucina will be the instructor. This program will run 12-weeks on Mondays and Thursdays from 12:00-12:45. The classes begin Monday, February 10 and run through early May. We have a couple Monday holidays so the schedule will need to be adjusted.

York Fresh Food Farm Available Every Thursday at White Rose Senior Center!
Growing Time is in full bloom with the York Fresh Food Farms Mobile Produce Market! Come check out and see all of the delicious fruits and vegetables that are at White Rose Senior Center every Thursday from 10:00-11:30. They accept cash and EBT cards, weather permitting. NOTE: On cold days, they may be INSIDE OUR BUILDING in the lobby area.
They offer the online Farm Share Boxes that are delivered free of charge if you can't make make Thursdays in-person at White Rose Senior Center.

During the Pandemic, many senior centers, churches, businesses, and organizations turned to Virtual Programming as a means to stay connected. White Rose Senior Center and Windy Hill on the Campus remain committed to offering people programs at home so if you can't make it to the Center one day, you can "tune in" on your cell phone, computer or tablet and enjoy activities and time together with your friends while sitting on your own comfy couch!

Springettsbury Township and White Rose Senior Center are proud to bring you a variety of classes to adults 50 and over.
“S.T.A.R.S.” stands for “Senior Time Activities for Residents of Springettsbury”, although any person, 50 and over, are welcome to attend. The Spring 2025 classes are as follows:

Class: Dandelion Fluff
Look how fun this is! Come and enjoy this whimsical Dandelion Painting with Bonita Bollinger. You will use acrylic paints to paint this easy dandelion project on an 8”x10” canvas.

STARS Program
Class: Bingo and Lunch at Hoss’s Steak & Seahouse
White Rose Senior Center and Springettsbury Township will offer “Bingo” at Hoss’s Steak & Seahouse. Prizes will be given to all of the winners. Lunch will be served prior to Bingo. Come and join in the fun!
