Catherine High
Catherine started making jewelry in the early '90s but didn't get serious with her work until moving to Sun City in 2010. Her father was a professional architectural model maker, who worked for many years with I.M. Pei in Manhattan. She has definitely inherited a "cleverness" in her hands from her father! Her work will be available for purchase during the Sun City Lincoln Hills Art and Craft Tour May11-12.
Umpqua Bank
Colleen Giorgi
Colleen didn't start making art until at 57 years old, she took a watercolor class. Since then she has persevered to appear in over 40 exhibitions, winning awards and acceptance. She was one of twenty artists chosen from Placer County to exhibit as a Placer Principal in 2017, and her public art is displayed all around our region. See more of Colleen's work at

Growth Requires Resources
Here I mean volunteers, members, and donations.

Let's treat these in order. First we need more volunteers to host daily visitors to our Art Center, plan our receptions, work with our venue coordinators to plan and set up exhibits at our galleries, gather members, and help in fundraising.

We are an all-volunteer business. And, in an effort to economize and safeguard our resources - and that includes funds - we have no paid staff. So, if we are to continue to thrive, we need more help. If you have the time and desire, we'd very much like to hear from you...soon.

Members are essential. Many of you have received email notices that your annualIf you have any questions about what's going on with the Art League, please contact me directly. I welcome the chance to talk to you! If you email info@all4art.net, it comes directly to me.

Clay Day
We will produce this signature celebration in Beermann Plaza on May 18 as a Feats of Clay event. Watch for the flyers, posters and our social media for more information.

May will also be Fire, Earth and Clay Month in Lincoln with unique exhibits featuring works produced from those elements on display in our galleries.

Exhibits and Artists
We owe a special thanks to Lincoln artist and member Colleen Giorgi who agreed to place a collection of her paintings in Gallery 580 in February and March while we arranged other exhibits for the rest of the year. Artist and instructor Unni Stevens also placed a collection of her acrylic renderings in the City Hall Rotunda exhibit for the same period.

In April, Gallery 580 will feature the works of Barbara Vance.

April will also see Colleen shift some of her collection to the Umpqua Bank gallery while photographer and member Yvonne Carter will open her exhibit in the City Hall Rotunda.

We will host a members' reception on April 4 at the Art Center from 5 -7 PM to recognize the artists and their collections.

Thank you to everyone helping in our efforts to make the Art League thrive.
See you at one of our Galleries!
