Jeanerette Museum's "Flyboys of Selman Field"
- The talk explores the history of Selman Field in Monroe, the only all-inclusive aviation training site in the United States during World War II. Over 15,000 navigators were trained at the field and flew in every theater of operations during the war. This history talk is being held free of charge and is suitable for an adult audience. - Louisiana Leroux takes the stage at the Isle this spring. Using blues, R&B, funk, jazz, rock, and Cajun as their base, their Southern anthem "New Orleans Ladies," voted Song of the Century by Gambit Magazine, simmered with the laid-back feel of the "Big Easy," evoking images of Bourbon Street and the bayou.
