Volume 1 , Issue 8 | April 2020
Welcome to the FISD e-newsletter where you can quickly learn what's happening in your school district!
FISD buildings are closed, but the work continues.
This month, I want to share a message I sent to our staff, last week. First, it will update you on the many things happening in the district. But, more importantly, I think it will help you see how everybody at FISD is working to continue providing services for students. I have never been prouder to be the superintendent of Floresville ISD. I want you to know that we all miss your children. For now, stay home and take care of your families. We will be together again soon.

Elda Rodriguez is Floresville Fab!
Woman with award
Elda Rodriguez, Alternative Center receptionist, was nominated by Principal, Angela Garcia. Here’s some of what Mrs. Garcia had to say about Mrs. Rodriguez. " The truth is, Elda is far more than just the person that answers the phone. She handles attendance, registration, and she has to be prepared to answer questions on the fly when anyone calls, in English or Spanish. We are grateful that Elda has been here every day since we have gone into FISD@Home Learning. I don't know how we would make it without her. She is always there to help and goes above and beyond. It doesn't matter what the task is, she is there with a smile on her face and ready to help."

She said that Kim’s contributions of time and service to TSPRA will serve as an asset to the organization and its effectiveness. Dr. Bays commented that she is proud that one of FISD's employees is serving in this statewide capacity.
