EDEN PRAIRIE COMMUNITY HOUSING FORUM: TOMORROW! 4.20.17
Join us for an educational session on the decline of naturally occurring affordable housing in the metro, what the City of Eden Prairie is doing to address these challenges, the effects on our neighbors, and how we can get engaged as a community. The event is free and open to the public and will take place on Thursday, April 20th from 6:30 - 8:30 pm in the East Commons at Eden Prairie High School.

FRIDAY FUN DAY & RESOURCE FAIR: 4.21.17
Join us Friday, April 21st from 5 - 7 pm for a free night of family fun at Little Eagles Preschool Lower Campus (8100 School Road) featuring a vehicle fair, games, open gym and playground access, face painting, food trucks and more. Chat with local service providers and learn about a variety of different programs at the resource fair. All are welcome. Registration is NOT required.

ABOVE & BEYOND AWARDS DINNER: 4.25.17
This event, which is open to the community, recognizes seniors who go "above and beyond" during their high school experience. Reception starts at 6:00 followed by dinner at 6:30 and a program at 7:30. Meal cost will be $25 for an Italian buffet dinner catered by Buca. Click

THE GIVE GATHERING: 4.27.17
The first annual GIVE Gathering will be Thursday, April 27th from 6 - 8 pm at the Education Center. This event will serve as a volunteer fair by connecting community members to volunteer opportunities, as well as a free professional development opportunity for volunteer coordinators/managers. EDEN PRAIRIE ARBOR DAY WALK & GREEN FAIR: 5.6.17

FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY BOOK SALE: 5.4.17 - 5.6.17
The Friends of the Eden Prairie Library will be holding a book sale on May 4th, 5th, and 6th at the Eden Prairie Library. Books of all kinds, including many children's and family books, will be available for purchase at very minimal cost. myHealth for Teens & Young Adults in Hopkins is hosting a low-cost dental clinic for children, teens, young adults, and pregnant women on Wednesday, May 17th from 9 am - 4 pm. PROP OFFERS YOUTH ACTIVITIES SCHOLARSHIPS
PROP in Eden Prairie provides scholarships that allow children and youth ages 0 – 18 to participate in a number of community activities, such as sports, camps, music lessons, and academic enrichment programs. PARTNERSHIP FOR DRUG-FREE KIDS PARENT HELPLINE
April is Alcohol Awareness month, and tomorrow (4/20) is notoriously known as celebration of marijuana. This time of year is often when underage drinking and drug use peaks. While most young people are making good decisions about drugs and alcohol, getting help as soon as possible for those who do use can make a big difference. HELP NEEDED TO SURVEY EP COMMUNITY MEMBERS, STUDENTS, & FAMILIES
The Family Resources Program and Community Engagement Impact Council are hoping to survey as many people as possible over the next couple of weeks as part of our broader needs assessment effort to better understand the needs of individual families, the gaps in services in Eden Prairie, and families’ perspectives on our community’s strengths.
If you are willing to help administer the survey by hosting a collection box at your site, sending out the link, or promoting the survey, please contact Molly Patil.

HUMANS OF EDEN PRAIRIE PROJECT SEEKING VOLUNTEER PHOTOGRAPHERS/WRITERS
Volunteer photographers and/or writers are needed to capture portraits of community members for the Humans of Eden Prairie project being planned, which is inspired by the Humans of New York and other local photoblogs capturing the portraits and stories of people within the community.
