Happy Spring although it does not feel like spring today! April snow showers, bring May flowers!
There is a lot going on throughout the Glen Ellyn community this Spring. Check out events from our community partners below. One of the biggest national events on our minds is the eclipse next week. Safely view the total solar eclipse on April 8th at 1:58 pm with eclipse glasses from the Glen Ellyn Public Library. Pick up one pair of glasses per person, while supplies last, at the drive-up window or at the Library Services, Adult, or Youth desk.

Clean Air & Water Show
League of Women Voters of Glen Ellyn
| The League of Women Voters of Glen Ellyn (LWVGE) is teaming with SCARCE to hold an informational event entitled: “The Clean Air & Water Show” on April 4th, 2024 from 7-8pm. It will be held as a live event at the SCARCE facility as well as via Zoom. Attendees will learn about the importance of clean air and water and solutions regarding how to safeguard these resources here in DuPage County. Members of the community are invited to attend. |

Steve Darnall presents this audio-visual presentation, which puts the spotlight on those heroes who made their way from comic strips and comic books to radio in the 1930s, including Little Orphan Annie, Dick Tracy and Superman, as well as some legendary heroes who began in radio... and went on to conquer the world.

Let's Glow Run/Walk
Glen Ellyn Park District
| On your mark, get set, glow! This 1.25-mile nighttime fun run/walk featuring light-up color stations is not to be missed. Enjoy a rockin’ glow party with a DJ before and after the race. Pre-race activities start at 7 pm, and the first wave of runners will take off at 7:45 pm. The registration fee is $30 for residents and $42 for non-residents, and includes entry into the race, a t-shirt, glow sticks, and access to the pre/post-race activities. This event is open to all ages. |
