H.O.M. is celebrating the release of “Being You: The Body Image Book for a Boys” with Charlotte with bubbly, sweet treats and giveaways. Charlotte also wrote “The Body Image Book for Girls.” Both books will be available for sale.
Friday April 29: Staying OPEN LATE for Food Truck Fun!
H.O.M. Will be open late during the Food Truck Event! April is also our birthday month at H.O.M. The shop opened during a Food Truck event in 2014! Any purchase in April will be entered to win a raffle basket of H.O.M. Favorite items valued at $200! Pop in during the event to get your chance to win!

April's Art Exhibit "Perennial Tapestries", brought to you by SFA, presents the serene, colorful, elegant artwork of local artist Dorothy Lee.
An exhibition of original alcohol ink paintings by Mrs. Lee will be on display from April 1 through April 30 at Swarthmore Borough Hall (121 Park Avenue). The public is invited to the artist's opening reception on Friday, April 1, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Both the exhibit and the reception are free and open to the public. The reception will have complimentary beverages and hors-d'oeuvres.
Exhibit hours are M-Th 9:00am - 8:00pm, Fri 10:00am - 7:00pm, Sat 10:00am - 3pm:00, Sun 1:00 - 5:00pm.

Delco Writers Read at the Pop-Up CommuniTEA Room
Celebrate the vibrant Delco literary scene at Delco Writers Read. Come hear poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, hybrid and even horror from writers with ties to DelCo.
Masks required for the reading. Unmasked reception to follow. Donations accepted at the door. PAC Center hosting two events on 4/2 to raise funds for Ukraine:

Dance for Ukraine 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
Instructor Kristine Izak will be sharing an introduction to Ukrainian folk dance. This event is open to the community and families are encouraged to attend together.
Yoga Love for Ukraine 4:00 - 5:00 pm
Join beloved yoga instructor, Ann MacMullan for this one-hour yoga workshop. Move, breathe, stretch and relax while raising money to support those affected by the war in Ukraine. Bring your own mat or towel/blanket if you can manage transitions to the floor. If you prefer to use a chair, one will be provided. All ages and mobility levels are welcome.
Make a donation & register online at www.ThePAC.Center. Your donation will serve as your registration. All donations will go support UMCOR Disaster Response and Recovery. These are separate events and you must register for each individually if you plan to attend both.

Save-the-Date: PAC Center’s - Spring Fling
April 30, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Come explore the spaces of the Park Avenue Community Center and join an array of events curated to inspire. The CommuniTEA room will be open to enjoy lunch available for purchase from Shutdown BBQ, listen to music and talk with friends. There will be opportunities to dance, make music, create art and even learn the secrets of the best chocolate chip cookies. This event is donation based to support the operation of the PAC Center. You are welcome to stop in anytime throughout the day but some activities require a registration to secure a spot.

SPC Seeks Volunteers & Donations to support the "First Place Swarthmore" Refugee Relocation Program
Join SPC on April 24th for an adult speaker program featuring the director of HIAS (Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society) Catherine Miller-Wilson. The program will be held, weather permitting, in the Church courtyard beginning at 4:00 pm. If the weather is bad, the event will be held inside with social distancing. Masks are optional. Light refreshments will be served. HIAS is the organization that will be finding long term housing for the refugees when they leave Swarthmore.
