Essentials Drive Ends Soon!
22nd Annual Essentials Drive:
April 1 – May 10, 2023

The Essentials Drive wraps up soon!
Join our annual effort to collect diapers and baby wipes for families at risk of or experiencing homelessness. Drop off new packages of diapers and unscented baby wipes at any of our metro Atlanta public drop-off sites. HomeAid distributes all donated items to local nonprofits providing housing and services for families in need. Since 2001, HomeAid Atlanta has collected and distributed nearly two million diapers and baby wipes in honor of Mother’s Day.

Four projects are underway adding 56 beds, plus providing supportive services and education for affordable homeownership opportunities:

In addition to these four projects we have four more projects under consideration: two that would benefit veterans, one to support teenage girls, and one to provide tiny homes for pregnant women experiencing homelessness. Please let us know if you are interested in learning more and possibly taking the lead on any of these new projects.
Teens Pack HomeAid CareKits
On April 26, the Northview Church Teen and Middle School Ministry packed 500 HomeAid CareKits for the Dekalb Library Foundation. They included thoughtful handwritten notes with messages of hope for CareKits recipients. CareKits contain hygiene items and more for people experiencing homelessness. HomeAid Atlanta plans to distribute over 2,500 CareKits this year.
