RC and go-kart tracks coming to Dacotah Centennial Park

At its Feb. 13 meeting, the Mandan Park Board approved a request for Dacotah Centennial Park to soon feature a Remote Control (RC) track and a go-kart track. The approval allows Mandan Parks and Recreation to amend its current lease with the Bismarck Mandan Stock Car Association (BMSCA) to add the features without the park district incurring any expense.

BMSCA is responsible for facilitating construction of the two new features at DCP. The RC track will be on Mandan Parks and Recreation property located on the east side of DCP in the former community gardens location. The existing RC track located at Nicholas Park, 1216 14th Street SE, will be converted back to grass. The go-kart track will be located adjacent to the RC track and existing DCP race track. There will not be go-kart rentals onsite. Patrons will need to bring their own go-karts to race.
