April/May News and U pdate s
In this newsletter we cover:
Project: Dominican Republic, Project: Jamiaca 2021,
COVID-19 Update, Camp MOVE 2020.
How has COVID-19 affected MOVE?
MOVE Brother battling CoronaVirus:
Timothy Guillen and his wife both tested positive from the coronavirus. Timmy is in New York and they have both had the milder form of the virus. Please continue to bring your petitions before God that He will eradicate this virus.

Future MOVE Trips:
Several men have reached out to me wondering how this affects our fall and winter trip. The short answer is, I don't know.

The longer answer is that both our fall trip and our winter build project are still tentatively scheduled for the same time. The scout trip has been rescheduled for the end of August. It is imperative we are able to do the scout trip at that time in order to accomplish both projects. As long as the risk is low due to the virus weakening in the summer heat and travel is permitted, we will be going. If you intend to go on one of these trips I would encourage you to go ahead and apply.

If we move the trip dates and you can't attend the project, we will fully refund you.

WINTER BUILD 2021

MOVE is headed to Jamaica next January. Our first build there was in 1984. Open Bible Churches of Jamaica has a camp in Manchester Parrish outside of the town of Warwick.

The camp is a great tool for reaching the youth of Jamaica. The growth has been so rapid that they are in need of another dormitory. By investing in their youth, they believe more lives will be led to Christ, more youth will sense the calling of God to ministry, and more churches will spring forth.

While there, we will have the opportunity to connect with the Jamaica MOVE team. They have committed to building a church in Haiti and want to learn from us.

Camp MOVE is Returning in 2020!
In August of 2020, 36 men joined came together over a ten-day period in St. Charles, Iowa. Many of the men had stated this is something they would like to continue doing, including Wildwood Hills Ranch.

We are excited to announce next year's Camp MOVE will be August 10 - 15, 2020 (Monday-Saturday). During this Camp we will work on projects. Thursday, August 13th @ 7:00 p.m. we will open our Men's retreat. The retreat will conclude at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 15th.

It is not too soon to start promoting this to your men. The cost for Camp MOVE is only $50!

If you have any questions about Camp MOVE, please reach out to Aaron Keller or Rick Jarvis .
BIG CHANGES FOR THE DIRECTOR OF MOVE
By Aaron Keller

For the last 8 years, I have been serving as a full-time Lead Pastor in Waterloo, Iowa. When we took over as lead pastors of the church in 2012, it was broken. The former Pastor had been dismissed and it split the church.
I was 32 years old when I accepted the position and although I had already been in a senior pastor role for five years, I realized that I had a lot to learn. There were many things that challenged me over those first four years. It became a proving ground for me and my ministry. Open Bible Church of Waterloo helped me discover what kind of minister I am.

On Sunday, March 29th, 2020, I accepted the lead pastor position at my home church, Sunshine Open Bible Church, in Des Moines, Iowa. I was born in that church and also served as their youth pastor for five years after I graduated Bible College. I am excited to return home and take on this role. My family already has many relationships established in Des Moines and in that church.

I am also pleased that they have fully accepted my role with MOVE and I believe will be a strong supporter of MOVE in sending men.

Please pray for my family. Transition is a very awkward time. We listed my house on the market on Tuesday, April 14th, and we have already had seven showings! Our transition date is July 1st 2020.

I will continue to serve MOVE, as it is my passion and fulfilling the calling on my heart for Missions. Please continue to lift this ministry up in prayer during these uncertain times.
How can you get involved?

We need both prayer partners and support partners. MOVE cannot build churches without financial donations.

Please consider giving to MOVE and become a part of building churches around the world. You can now support MOVE on a recurring basis through Open Bible's website .

The average cost of an overseas church build is $50,000 .
We encourage donors to give to our general fund as it will apply
to any MOVE project. Every dollar helps.

Join the MOVE team by partnering with us
to help fund our upcoming church build in Warwick, Jamaica
