WISER Woman:
This month, we are proud to introduce LaShana Lewis as our WISER Woman. LaShana is currently serving as the Director of the St. Louis Equity in Entrepreneurship Collective (STLEEC) where she works to make sure an entrepreneur’s success will not be pre-determined by their race or gender. She is also the CEO of L. M. Lewis Consulting and an entrepreneur in the tech and diversity fields. She was selected as a Fulbright Specialist in February 2019 and has lent her knowledge as a tech director and consultant for nonprofits and startups around the country. Learn more about LaShana here.
Meet a Researcher
Dr. Philip Payne is the founding director of the Institute for Informatics (I2) at Washington University, where he also serves as the Robert J. Terry Professor and Professor of Computer Science and Engineering. The Institute of Informatics is doing critical work to help guide the State’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and building a rapid response to public health data management. In addition, Dr. Payne is part of the leadership team building a national synthetic data COVID-19 resource. You can follow him on twitter @prpayne5 and learn more about his work here.

Missouri Cures Education Foundation has cancelled all events through May 31st due to concerns about the Coronavirus. We are hopeful that our summer and fall events will be able to go on as planned. We will be monitoring the situation closely and will make changes as warranted.
