New Chamber President
3 New Directors

At the first Board of Directors meeting following the annual general meeting, directors vote their fellow directors into the Board Executive positions (president, vice president, treasurer, secretary).

The Board is pleased to announce Jeff Pacheco was elected by fellow directors as the Chamber's new President. 
Jeff Pacheco
As Director of Sales for Oakwood Resort, Jeff is responsible for oversight of sales and marketing systems, revenue management, advertising and promotion, awareness campaigns and customer relationship management. For the past 20 years, Jeff has been active in hospitality sales for several major brands within the industry. Before Oakwood, he was the National Sales Manager with Westmont Hospitality group, responsible for the strategic direction of the company's National sports market, as well as Corporate markets throughout Canada. Previous to these positions, Jeff served as a Regional sales manager with Westmont Hospitality, Director of Sales at the Station Park Hotel and Sales manager at the Delta London Armouries. When not working, Jeff enjoys having fun with his two young boys and is the head coach of Western University's Field Hockey team. Jeff attended Fanshawe College, where he earned a Hospitality degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration.
Neil Clifford
Neil Clifford  rejoins the board after a 3-year hiatus, previously serving on the 2013 to 2015 boards. Neil is a well-known local media representative, first as the long-time publisher of the Lakeshore Advance and most recently as General Manager of myFM Radio 90.5 Exeter / Grand Bend. Neil's extensive knowledge of the area's businesses and their owners will provide valuable insight to the Board.
Valante Karamoutzos
Also new to the Board this year is  Valante Karamoutzos,  one of the area's young entrepreneurs. The Karamoutzos family have owned and operated the Growling Gator for more than 12 years, and in 2018 completed construction of a multi-million-dollar mixed residential and commercial building at the foot of Main Street West in Grand Bend. Valante manages Willie's Beach Bar & Grill, one of three restaurants owned and operated by the family and brings a wealth of restaurant experience and knowledge to the Board.
Glen Baillie moves into the role of past-president. 

Also returning to serve the Chamber are:
  • Doug Pedlar as Vice President (Re/Max Bluewater Realty), 
  • John Choma as Treasurer (Bank of Montreal) 
  • Veronica Brennan as Secretary (Grog's & MacPherson's restaurants) 
  • Mike Corrie - Director  (Stone House Brewing) 
  • Matt DeJong - Director (Green Bucks Dollar Store). 
Retiring From The Board

Mark Lewis, who joined the Board of Directors for the 2012 fiscal year and has served in the role of Vice President for 6 years, is also retiring from the Board. The Board thanks Mark for his years of Chamber governance and operational knowledge that he brought to our Chamber, and his resurrection of the Chamber's golf tournament and annual chairing of that event brought in much needed funds. Mark also helped emcee Chamber and community events throughout the year.

Tina Hayter is also stepping down from the Board this year after serving 3 years. With the arrival of her first child and still at the helm of Midori Sushi, and with the thought of the busy tourist season ahead, Tina felt she would be unable to fully commit to the Board. Tina brought a fresh perspective and energy to the Board and her restaurant insight combined with youthful entrepreneurism provided valuable insight and perspective to the Board.
