The St. Marys Lions Club is selling pork chop dinner tickets for $10 each. Every dinner includes an 8 oz. chop, baked potato, applesauce, roll, and bottled water. Pick-up will be Sunday, April 8 from 11:45 am - 1:00 pm at the Auglaize County Council on Aging. You can purchase tickets at the Chamber office or from a Lions Club Member (Jerry Rolsten 419-795-7051). This fundraiser will support the Lions Club's Pilot Dog Program and other community projects.

Local artist Rhonda Sloan will be exhibiting her watercolor work at Arts Place, Auglaize/Mercer from April 20 – May 25. The Auglaize/Mercer Center is located at 207 East Spring Street in St Marys, Ohio. An opening reception will be held at the center on April 20th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. with light refreshments served. The public is invited and encouraged to come out and meet as well as celebrate with this talented local artists. There is no cost to attend the event.

Joint Township District Memorial Hospital will be offering FREE Prostate Screening for men ages 40-75 years of age. Screening will be held on April 3, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and on April 5, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. For more information click on the link.

Follow the yellow brick road for an evening of dancing, live music, silent and live auction, and casino to benefit Grand Lake Hospice. The Emerald Ball will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Romer's Catering and Entertainment Facility in Celina. Doors will open at 5:00 pm and dinner will be at 6:30 pm. You can make your reservations for this event by calling the JTDMH Hospital Foundation Office at 419-394-3387, ext. 3567.
You also have the opportunity to win a 2018 Dodge Challenger. Each ticket is $100 and only 1,000 tickets will be sold. The drawing will be held at the Hospice Gala, but you need not be present to win. There is a cash prize option as well. You can see the car on display at St. Marys Chrysler Dodge & Jeep. S&P Global Market Intelligence, formerly S&P Capital IQ and SNL Financial, recently released its ranking of 2017’s 50 best-performing credit unions. Superior Credit Union, based in Lima, Ohio, was named the #4 Best-Performing Credit Union in the U.S. The credit union is ranked in impressive company, as NO other credit unions in the top ten had assets of less than $1 billion—and only one other Ohio credit Union was ranked in the top 50. Superior’s asset size grew from $663 million to $820 million in 2017.

The St. Marys Rotary Club will be hosting a debate between the candidates in the May Primary Republican ballot for commissioners office on April 11, 2018. Starting at 12:20 p.m. at St. Marys Eagles. We are soliciting questions from residents of Auglaize County, members of the three Auglaize County Chamber of Commerce as well as student government students of Auglaize County.
