Lower Salford Township is seeking Seasonal Employees to assist its Public Works Department. Desired employment is from early May through August, but can be flexible. Work consists of mowing, trimming, road repairs, storm pipe replacement, sign maintenance and other duties as assigned. Successful Candidate must be at least 18 years of age, hold a valid PA Driver’s License and will undergo preemployment Drug Screening. Ideal candidate will have experience in landscape and/or construction and with hand/power tools but are willing to train the right candidate. Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in all weather conditions. Interested candidates should email Doug Jones, Director of Public Works at [email protected]. 

As we make our way around the Township, we often come across construction sites. Usually, it is a new home or a new store where a vacant space used to be. But then there are those larger projects that catch your eye. Rest assured, before the shovel hits the ground, the project has gone through an extensive land development process. Or, if you want to get more involved, attend a Planning Commission Meeting. These meetings are the 4th Wednesday of every month, open to the public and agendas are posted in advance. The Planning Commission is the first stop of the Land Development Process. You can also contact the Township Office.
