Pearl Schooler Glenn was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California before graduating from U.C. Berkeley in Dance Therapy and English. During this time in her life, she was initiated and started practicing Transcendental Meditation; a form of mantra meditation, as well as pursuing spiritual studies.
Her path followed becoming a Registered Nurse and practicing in many different settings over several years: Psych-Mental Health, Addiction-Rehab, Trauma Emergency Room, and various hospital Medical-Surgical units.
Some years later, she met and married the Love of her Life, Terry Michael Glenn. They decided to go cruising for a few years on their sailboat, Snuggery, to explore the Bahamas and the Florida Keys. They returned to land and studies - Pearl graduated with an MSN (Master in Nursing) and was licensed as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner. As a Nurse Practitioner, she worked for several years caring for veterans before her retirement. During this time, she also went through training to become a Healing Touch Practitioner; a form of energy work. She will always value the many patients who shared their lives, their near-death experiences, their fears, their hopes, and their dreams with her in both the hospitals and the outpatient clinics where she worked for more than 35 years before her retirement.
Now retired, Pearl practices Mindfulness Meditation, Healing Touch energy work, and continuing her spiritual studies. She enjoys being in nature; hiking, walking, boating, snorkeling, gardening, and birding. She also enjoys dancing, reading, traveling, studying Spanish, and playing her cello. Pearl Schooler Glenn’s intention is to encourage more Peace and Light within ourselves and without on our Earth.

Walking Meditation Group
Walking in nature is a way to bring awareness to the present moment and all the beauty that surrounds you, and can be a form of walking meditation. Thich Nhat Hanh says that the practice of mindful walking is a profound and pleasurable way to deepen our connection with our body and the earth.
This month we will travel to Cape Coral and walk in the beautiful, riverside Jaycee Park Cape Coral (4215 SE 20th Pl, Cape Coral, FL 33904.) This walk will be led by yoga teacher and Board member, Valarie Olsen. There's always a lovely breeze at the park. We will meet by the restrooms and little library near the parking area as you enter the park.
This is a free offering through Caloosahatchee Mindfulness.
Check our website for May, and June locations. Guests are welcome.
