2025 Exisiting Industries Crawfish Boil


Our first Crawfish Boil was a spicy success thanks to the amazing folks from our existing industries who showed up to crack shells and make connections. Here’s to stronger partnerships and growing together—one crawfish at a time!

A big congratulations to our local industry, Essity, for finishing in the top 4 of the Manufacturing Madness competition! Organized by Manufacture Alabama, this exciting bracket-style contest invited the public to nominate and vote on the coolest product made in the state — and Essity’s Tork Coreless High-Capacity Toilet Paper Roll White T7 made a strong impression.


We’re proud to see one of our own recognized for innovation and excellence in manufacturing. Way to go, Essity!

This month, our team had the pleasure of attending TVA Economic Development's annual Forum — a fantastic opportunity for connection, collaboration, and learning about the latest trends and strategies in economic development.


This year, TVA introduced superlative awards to recognize outstanding contributions across the region, and we were honored to be named "Best Dressed"! This award highlights our commitment to professionalism, not only in our presentations but also in any materials we use to represent The Shoals.


We are proud to receive this recognition and even prouder to continue serving and promoting our incredible Shoals community. Thank you for allowing us to do what we love!

The purpose of the Shoals Manufacturers' Association (SMA) is to foster a working relationship among Shoals area manufacturers and to promote a healthy business climate, making it feasible for existing companies to expand and/or remain in the Shoals area in a working partnership with the Shoals Economic Development Authority. Shoals area companies involved in the manufacture of products and parts for profit are invited to join SMA.​

The Shoals Employment Growth Program is designed to encourage full-time employment growth through a streamlined process that provides assistance to eligible applicants offering new employment opportunities for Shoals citizens. Shoals area for-profit companies that operate under certain business activities listed in the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) can be reimbursed up to $8,000 for each new qualifying full-time employee hired, up to ten new full-time employment positions per year.
