Network Meeting Update

The Network Core team met and decided that April might not be the best time to have a meeting considering all that is going on. We are canceling our April 21 st quarterly meeting but not the great work we are doing. Instead, I will be hitting the road in April and May to meet with you in person. I would love to hear what is going on in your community or business over a cup of coffee, and see how the Network and TSOC can collaborate with you to make a difference on the South Coast. Corona Virus Update

Travel Oregon is working closely with state and national partners to continually monitor the ever-evolving situation associated with the COVID-19 outbreak. Given the fluid nature of the situation, they have gathered resources that will be helpful for you to monitor the situation and what it might mean for your business or community.

In an effort to support their partners in a time when up-to-date information is crucial, Travel Oregon has created a toolkit that points to resources from national and state public health organizations to give you all the information you need around COVID-19.

Their intention is to provide information that will help mitigate the negative impacts of the virus, including both the fear of contracting the virus as well as the spread of the virus.

MARKETING WORKSHOP

During this extensive workshop, OCVA's goal is to provide businesses with a very actionable road-map to getting started with using online marketing to help promote their business. As part of the workshop experience, they will provide hands-on assistance and share the best practices to help motivate small business owners to take action in using the free tools (and platforms) available online to start growing their businesses! Grant Information
A new funding opportunity is coming online next month for recreational trail development.

About the Fund:   The Recreational Trails Program (RTP) is a federally funded grant program administered by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department. Since 1993, Oregon has funded over 500 projects with RTP funds to develop, improve, or expand motorized and non-motorized trails and their facilities.

The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department’s Recreation Trails Program (RTP) 2020 grant cycle is scheduled to open on April 1. Interested applicants are invited to register for an online RTP workshop webinar at 9:30 a.m. on April 8.  Register for the webinar online here . Letters of intent for 2020 RTP grants are due April 30 with full grant applications due June 15.

Rural Community Development Initiative Grants

What does this program do? This program
provides funding to help non-profit housing and community development organizations support housing, community facilities, and community and economic development projects in rural areas.
