This month, we have some exciting news to share about our TWN Workshop graduates. Firstly, we would like to congratulate Patrick G. Lee, who has been selected as a BAVC Media Fellow to work on their upcoming film about queer and trans nightlife performers in Seoul, Korea. As part of our Evening Seminars, we will be hosting Naz Habtezghi, another TWN Workshop graduate, to showcase her documentaries "The ABCs of Book Banning" and "Birthing a Nation: The Resistance of Mary Gaffney". Lastly, we feature "Imelda Is Not Alone", a new social justice documentary by Paula Heredia, another TWN Workshop graduate. This new film explores a local citizen’s movement that seeks to defend women who are persecuted under El Salvador's total ban on abortion. Paula is hosting free screenings for community organizations.
