Follow TBARTA's Teleworking Golden Rules to be Safer at Home
TBARTA's Commute Tampa Bay is offering advice to local employees who suddenly find themselves working from home due to new "safer at home" mandates. TBARTA says to follow the 10 Golden Rules to Telework, including sticking to a routine, remembering the basics, and staying out of the kitchen to avoid snacking and cleaning.

"Telework has always been part of the mix that helps reduce traffic on the road. Now, that's no longer an option for many of us, it's a necessity," said Cyndi Raskin, TBARTA's Director of Commuter Services. "Commute Tampa Bay wants to share what we've learned to help those new to telework stay productive and keep those paychecks coming." Visit TBARTA for more information about telecommuting and other commuting options for businesses and employees.

The Best Workplaces for Commuters Program at USF's Center for Urban Transportation Research also has information on teleworking during emergencies.
Road construction continues; HART and PSTA services reduced
The Florida Department of Transportation and City of Tampa are continuing with regularly scheduled and emergency road repairs during local "safer at home" orders, while following social distancing practices. Some FDOT projects are have added additional hours of construction, rather than ending construction before morning rush hours. Sign up for our Traffic News to get updates on Westshore projects every Friday.

HART has moved to a reduced schedule as a result of the reduced demand for service and the "safer at home" order. Most routes will be on a Sunday service schedule. However, the 60LX between Brandon and Tampa International Airport will operate a regular Monday-Friday schedule, and the 275LX from Wiregrass to TPA will have no schedule changes. Additionally, stops at WestShore Plaza and International Plaza remain in service, despite the malls' closures. PSTA's 300X service between Pinellas and Westshore has been  suspended.
