NEW Fund Supports Needs in DeKalb Township
We are pleased to announce the Howard and Mildred Eychaner Fund. Initially established in 2003 as a charitable remainder annuity trust, this gift became available for grantmaking in 2021. The Fund honors the generous and loving legacy of Howard and Mildred Eychaner.

NEW Fund Supports Sycamore Scholarships
Announcing the Evans Memorial Scholarship Fund. The scholarship is named in honor of Lowell Evans and will award an annual scholarship to a graduating senior from Sycamore High School with an interest in pursuing a degree in business, engineering, or auto mechanics.

Give DeKalb County 2022
Give DeKalb County is less than a month away! This May 5 giving event allows donors to make gifts of all sizes to support their favorite nonprofit organizations in DeKalb County. Donors can give online or by mail during Give DeKalb County and every donation is boosted by a portion of the Bonus Pool!

Scholarships Opportunities
Applications are open for the following Community Foundation scholarships through June 1, 2022:
  • Ed and Kim Kapper Physical Therapy Scholarship (For graduate students pursuing a degree in physical therapy)
  • Renaissance Scholarship (For an individual who is returning to school after being part of the workforce)
  • Spinoso Masters Scholarship (For students pursuing a post-undergraduate or master's degree) 

Foundation Welcomes New Board Treasurer
Please join us in welcoming David B. Castle as the new Board Treasurer. The additional leadership roles continue as elected in 2021.
