We recently sat down with Trevor Stricker, one of the founding members of Mightier, to get a better understanding of their product and how it could change our approach to behavioral health. During the interview, Stricker noted how Massachusetts played a unique role in forming their company. Like many other companies in the Mass Digital Health ecosystem, Stricker and his team are tackling a challenge that is global in scope - children’s behavioral health - and utilizing innovative technologies in a novel way to address this challenge, building on the region’s deep healthcare and tech expertise.

MassTech Internship Partnership Program Returns for 2019

- Nesterly, an online service that connects older people who have rooms to spare with younger and lower income people seeking medium-term affordable housing, was recently highlighted by AARP.
- Health data aggregation and centralization platform 1upHealth announced that it has landed $2.38 million in seed funding. The funding round was led by Eniac Ventures, Social Leverage and Meridian Street Capital.
- Nutrimedy took home the top prize and $30,000 in the fourth annual Connected Patient Challenge. The HIPAA-compliant mobile and web service uses an algorithm to match patients to professionals who specialize in providing nutrition guidance personalized to their specific chronic condition.
- The National Science Foundation has awarded a three-year grant totaling nearly $1 million to a team of researchers led by Prof. Yan Luo of UMass Lowell's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering to develop a secure cyberinfrastructure for translational research.
