A Passion for Self-Advocacy and Special Olympics
Kaleena is our Parkway participant in the spotlight this month. Kaleena came to Parkway in July 2007. She has a passion for self-advocacy and was one of the enthusiastic participants at Disability Services Day at the capitol on March 12 (picture to the right). Kaleena is well-informed about the way that politics and policies affect her and is happy to share her opinions with others.

Another passion that Kaleena enjoys is the Special Olympics. The events she enjoys the most are long jump and shotput. "I don't like the (starting) guns. They hurt my ears," shares Kaleena - that's why she doesn't like the races as much. Her favorite memory of Special Olympics is spending time with her mom, dad and coach.
"Special Olympics makes me feel happy and proud," says Kaleena. We're proud of her too!

Kaleena, we’re so glad you're here. Thank you for choosing Parkway!
Thriving at US Bank
John was featured in a fantastic article on the US Bank website as they recognized Autism Awareness Month. We love the partnership between PAI and US Bank, and we're so glad that John does too!
