OPEN DOOR RECOVERY CENTER - MONTLY NEWSLETTER

LAST MONTH'S EVENTS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS

This past month, Open Door Recovery Center welcomed our newest Recovery Advocate, Bobby, to our recovery team. We always consider it a success when the team grows, because it means more perspectives, more approaches, and more ideas brought to our community!

Give a warm welcome to Bobby!

THIS MONTH'S UPCOMING EVENTS!

March to the beat of your own drum! Join our shared community in music, mindfulness and connection led by CiC volunteer, Eric Amadeo.

Drumming and percussion is said to help induce deep relaxation, reduce stress and maintain spiritual well-being. Sounds pretty good to us

We encourage you to bring a drum - or a coffee can! No coffee can? Bring a trash bin! Something to drum on. Points for creativity.

Saturday, April 29th, 5pm

The Flemington Ice Arena

426 Case Blvd, Flemington

YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS GO HERE!

Here at ODRC we believe that whenever you grow as a person, we grow as a community. In that spirit, we encourage you to email your recent personal accomplishments to mgiles@njprevent.com

Personal accomplishments might be something like a milestone in your recovery, charity or volunteer work you were able to engage in, a new business started or even good health news regarding you or a loved one fighting a chronic ailment. What’s good news for you, is good news to us, and can help us to learn and share more with our community.

Open Door Recovery Center uses peer-based approaches within a safe and inclusive environment to support, empower, and provide resources to all persons in recovery from problematic substance use. We provide all attendees with services such as direct peer-to-peer support, peer-support groups, educational workshops, substance free activities and events, wellness planning, linkages to resources, and access to peer recovery coaching.

Open Door Recovery Center also aims to reduce barriers for persons in recovery by decreasing the stigma surrounding substance use disorders in the broader community. This is achieved primarily through hosting educational events, implementing community-wide stigma-free campaigns, and building key partnerships within the community. All services, activities, and events provided ensure confidentiality and are free of cost.
