The Camden Collaborative 

The Camden Family Connection Collaborative is made up of community stakeholders with a vested interest in improving the lives of Camden's children and families. 
A monthly meeting is held every  3rd Thursday 
at 10am. Approximately 30-50 representatives from local government, non-profit agencies, and civic organizations are in attendance.

CASA Cruising Against Child Abuse Event

Celebrate Abilities
Life, Inc. is hosting annual wheelchair cleaning and resource fair in Savannah, Ga. on April 13th.
De-stress Before the Test with 4-H Yoga
Camden County 4-H will be offering an opportunity for 5th - 8th grade students to De-stress Before the Test with 4-H Yoga for Kids. The sessions will be at the Camden County Recreation Center on 4/15 & 4/17 from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room.  
Free Mental Health Screenings
The C ollege of Coastal Georgia, Camden Suicide Prevention Coalition, community mental health agencies, other organizations and individuals are providing free mental health screenings for depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder from noon to 2 pm and from 5 to 7 pm, Thursday, April 18, in the rotunda of the College of Coastal Georgia in Kingsland. Camden County 4-H Vidalia Onion Fundraiser  
The Camden County 4-H Club is holding its annual Vidalia Onion fundraiser.  The sale runs through April 19th and orders and payments can be made to the Camden County Extension Office at 1409 Georgia Ave, Woodbine, by April 19th.     
Teen Summit
The spring 2019 Camden Teen Summit will held from 5:45 to 7:15 pm, Tuesday, April 23, in the auditorium of the College of Coastal Georgia in Kin gsland.  There is no charge for admission and dinner will be provided. Middle and high school students are invited to participate in discussion on the theme "Using the Building Block of Conflict".  For more information, call (912) 266-4969.
Red Expressions Fashion Show  

Brunswick Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a public service sorority dedicated to engaging and serving the communities of Glynn, McIntosh, Camden and Charlton Counties, is hosting its annual Red Expressions fundraiser on April 27, 2019.  Please see the attached flyers for more information on participating or becoming a sponsor.
E mpowerU! Advocating Invasive Species Management
Camden County Extension Office is offering a 4 week course where you can learn how to work with decision makers, influence management decisions and stop the spread of invasive species!   
Methodist Home Golf Classic

The Methodist Home for Children  & Youth is hosting its 8th Annual Methodist Home Golf Classic on April 28th at the The Club at Osprey Cove. The event will be in honor of Linda Moore and funds will benefit the boys in St. Marys.  
Volunteers needed!!  
Camden County Head Start Center is looking for volunteers to support their Free Summer Lunch Program.  The program runs May 27 - July 22, 2019. If you can help, please see the attached flyer.

Leadercast Live 2019
The Camden County Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring Leadercast Live 2019 at the Southeast Community Church, May 10th. Leadercast Live will bring together experts in leadership and organizational health to help attendees master the art and science of developing and leading healthy teams.See the attached
flyer for more information.    
Hearts of Benevolence
The Hearts of Benevolence, a Camden County nonprofit organization, is looking for sponsors for their 3rd annual "Rock the Books" festival. The festival will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019. Please see the attached flyer if you would like to partner in making this event to promote literacy.
Kings Bay Teen Program

The Teen Program is open to ALL teens in the public. 13-18 yrs. old- As long as individuals are still in High School. Programming is provided through partnerships with the Boys and Girls Club of America and Georgia 4-H.Transportation is provided from the HS to Kings Bay. Hours are 3-7 pm. Camden Community  Resource Directory

An online Resource Directory is currently be developed through a partnership between the Camden County Board of Commissioners (CCBC), Camden Family Connection, and Georgia Center for Non-Profits (GCN). 

Camden Family Connection has agreed to provide and maintain a database of resources available to all Camden Citizens. The database started in partnership with GCN will be utilized to compile needed partner information for the resource page. We will also continue to use this to track possible service duplications, gaps, and strains.

Dr. Sheila Sapp, a member of Camden  Family Connection Board of Directors, received Training for Trainers on Protective Factors through Strengthening Families Georgia. Food Assistance Phone Line

Sponsored by the Camden Family Connection Collaborative, The Camden Hunger Hotline  is a volunteer managed and operated food assistance information and referral service. As displayed in the attached business card, the food insecure in Camden County may cal l:


between  8 a.m. - 8 p.m . to receive information about food assistance available in Camden County. This service is for those individuals and families that are struggling to avoid hunger and are not familiar with local food  assistance resources: locations, services provided, and access procedures.
