FELLOWSHIP STRATEGIC PLANNING AT THE 30-YEAR MARK
Senior Vice President of Leadership and Director of the Fellowship, Joan Shields, provides an update on the recent Fellowship Strategic Analysis project and reflects on her transition to philanthropy following her time in the executive coaching space.
EMERGING LEADERS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM TURNS A NEW PAGE
Zuleika Johnson, Vice President of Opportunity and Outreach, joined the Foundation in January and will continue to engage and train leaders of color in Southern Colorado through the Emerging Leaders Development (ELD) Program. As the members of the Fellowship Class of 2019 wrap up their tenure at the Foundation, we want to thank them for their dedicated time and efforts to the communities of Colorado during a tumultuous period in our nation's history.

The departing class came to the Foundation with a breadth of different experiences, and in their next steps they will continue to make an impact on a range of sectors. We are incredibly proud of each of them as they pursue graduate degrees and head into roles in consulting, education, nonprofit management and politics.
FORUM FOR CIVIC ADVANCEMENT HOSTS "WOMEN IN POLITICS"
El Pomar's Forum for Civic Advancement, in partnership with the Colorado Municipal League and Colorado 50-50, hosted a virtual event last weekend featuring prominent female leaders in the political world at various stages of their careers.

The speakers featured were Congresswoman Diana DeGette (D-1), State Senator Faith Winter (D-24), State Representative Stephanie Luck (R-47), State Representative Iman Jodeh (D-41), Alamosa City Councilor Liz Hensley, and former University of Denver Student Body Vice President Jess Davidson.

The sessions were moderated by Colorado 50-50 Executive Director Erin Hottenstein and Former El Paso County Commissioner and Colorado Springs City Councilmember Sallie Clark.

NONPROFIT EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP PROGRAM 2.5 APPLICATION OPEN
El Pomar is accepting applications to the Nonprofit Executive Leadership Program 2.5, hosted by Center for Creative Leadership, through June 7, 2021. The program will take place August 11-13, 2021.
NOMINATIONS FOR MILTON E. PROBY CULTURAL HERITAGE ROOM OPEN NOW
Each year since 2006, El Pomar Foundation’s Emerging Leaders Development (ELD) program has recognized an ethnic minority leader in Southern Colorado in celebration of his/her civic contributions through the Milton E. Proby Induction Ceremony. This year’s nominations are currently open through May 14, 2021 and seek to identify a deserving honoree in the Asian community to be recognized at the August induction event. 
PIONEERS MUSEUM TO HOST SCHOLAR SERIES ON PENROSE LEGACY
In celebration of the Colorado Springs sesquicentennial (150th) anniversary, El Pomar Curator of Historic Properties and Archives, Sarah Woods, will be delivering a lecture on the Penrose Legacy as a part of the Pioneers Museum's Scholar Series. The lecture will take place on September 11, 2021.
