Planting Seeds of Compassion on the Journey to Brave

As we get ready for this year’s Journey to Brave celebration, we’ve been thinking about what resilience and community support really look like. Sometimes, it starts with a seventh grader and a simple idea. Kare, a student at Greensboro Day School, started the Kindness Club to encourage small, everyday acts of compassion among her classmates. The club now partners with places like our Hope Hub, Crayons Matter, and Backpack Beginnings to support the well-being of folks across Greensboro. Kare’s story reminds us: being brave doesn’t always mean big gestures. Sometimes it means quietly choosing kindness—and inviting others to do the same.

Child Abuse Prevention Month at Kellin

This April, Kellin Foundation has been actively participating in Child Abuse Prevention Month through community events, city proclamations, free trainings, and a yard full of pinwheels. From honoring early childhood educators to offering tools for prevention, we’ve been focused on raising awareness and supporting families. Read more about what we’ve been up to—and how you can still get involved—on our website.

Mental Health Awareness Game Night Was a Hit!

From the roar of the crowd to our Kellin Kids stepping onto the court at halftime, it was a night to remember! We’re so grateful to the Greensboro Swarm and Blue Cross NC for teaming up with us to raise awareness for mental health.

Celebrating with Women to Women

We were honored to attend the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro’s Give Like a Woman Gala event a few weeks ago. The evening’s Prism of Possibilities theme was a beautiful reminder of what’s possible when women come together in support of their community. We’re deeply grateful to the Women to Women initiative—not only for hosting such an inspiring event, but for awarding the Kellin Foundation a $50,000 grant to help strengthen the mental health and resilience of local children and families.
