Dear Friends and Supporters, As we close out April, Kids’ Chance of Maryland is moving full speed into our busiest season of the year. With spring events underway and summer right around the corner, this is an important moment to share a few updates and express our gratitude to the many supporters who make our mission possible.
Earlier this month, KCMD was represented at the Kids’ Chance of America National Conference, held April 13–15 in San Diego. Board members Jeff Horowitz and Alan Gross attended on behalf of Maryland, ensuring we remain connected to national best practices, new ideas, and collaborative efforts that strengthen support for our scholars. Watch for our featured article in May.
Our summer events are quickly approaching, and we hope to see many of you there.
The 2nd Annual Crab Feast will take place on June 24, followed by the KCMD Annual Golf Tournament on July 23. Registration for both events is now open, and early participation helps us plan for another successful season of community engagement and scholarship support.
We are also deeply grateful to the organizations and individuals who have renewed their annual commitment to KCMD, as well as those who have joined us as new sponsors this year. Your generosity directly fuels our ability to provide scholarships and resources to Maryland students whose families have been affected by workplace injuries or fatalities.
Thank you for standing with us, for believing in our mission, and for helping ensure that more students receive the support and opportunities they deserve.
With sincere appreciation,
Edgar G. Dodd, III
President, Kids' Chance of Maryland
