 Spring has officially sprung with flowers blooming, warmer temperatures, and outdoor back to Nature projects abound. We skip the candy in our eggs, instead filling them with crystals, stones, fossils, coupons and fun surprises.

A great big thanks to everyone who came to our 12th Annual Tucson Truck Show. Weather was great, lots of smiles and laughter, tons of new inventory to see and so many happy people now with new treasures. It became clear that we have outgrown our original concept of a Truck Sale and visitors who don't know the story of why we called it a "Truck Sale" find the title confusing, especially during "truck sale month" in the auto industry. Therefore, we will continue to bring you our annual opportunities to preshop all our new store inventory except, in the future, we will be introducing these buying events as our Annual Tucson or Denver Showcase. In the mean time, be sure to stop in soon and see all the new merchandise to choose from. The shelves are packed with amazing specimens and lots of options to choose from.
Remember, this is the month to honor our Mother Earth. On Earth Day, Sunday the 22nd, we will be giving back to the efforts of preserving our Rain forests by donating a portion of our sales for that day. So, if you are looking for a place to reconnect, come walk among some of Mother Earth's greatest miracles and feel her love in all the minerals and earth treasures that we have to offer.

 The Nature's Treasures Family would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Maria Prinz, who transitioned on March 7, 2018. Maria has a place in so many of our hearts, and although we know her Spirit surrounds us, we will miss her in the physical form. Maria has been a priceless member of the NT Practitioner Team over the years and has offered loving healing sessions, along with her fragrant oils, and intuition. Her husband, Herbert K. Prinz, and family has set up Go Fund Me to help with expenses incurred if you would like to donate.

 This year in Tucson we added a couple of new agates to our selection that is available to all here at the Rock Depot. In an effort to offer quality agate we are always hunting for new agate or those that have been ignored for some time.
This year we have brought in Purple Passion agate, a seam agate, from Chihuahua Provence, Mexico. This agate is well known for it's varied hues of purple to lavender, great material for cabbing. We also brought in El Sueco agate, also from Chihuahua. This was a popular agate during the early 70's and was sold, along with Coyamito and banded agate nodules from Mexico.
The El Sueco deposit was forgotten for a while and thought to have been mined out. Recent digs have proven this to be wrong and it is now available at Nature's Treasures in the Rock Depot.
 With the Island Agate, Condor Agate from the River Crossing dig, Dryhead and Laguna agates we have one of the best selections of agate in the United States.
We would love to have you stop in and talk agates with us!
Silica is the key component to agate formation since it belongs to the quartz family made up of SiO2. Because of their beauty and durability, agates have been used since the Neolithic as tools, jewelry, tableware and decor for thousands of years. Although agate has been used for ages, new world agates have only been mined recently and many varieties are mined out.

When I worked the Front Counter at Nature's Treasures, I did not have much experience with the Tarot. Oracle cards felt more accesible because I could intuit a lot more at that time based on symbols, a single word or affirmation the cards held.
I developed a growing admiration for Oracle decks as I expored the artwork and illustrations that further pulled me into the Oracle messages. With an affinity to Mary Magdalene and Kuan Yin, I first chose

contained messages which felt like they were arriving before me from the hands of both Divine Feminines.

Folade Speaks joined the Nature's Treasures family as a Front Counter Team Member and as one of the Aura Machine Readers. She's now Events Director. Folade is a Reiki Master Teacher, mother of two Indigo Children, and lover of crystals and trees. She is also a creative whose paintings pay homage to sacred symbols, archetypes, and circles. Since receiving her MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Folade has worked in the fields of Higher Education and Administration, and founded Speaks-Love Tutoring Agency, where she provided Educational Consulting for families, and private schools, in Seattle Washington.
