SVP Spring Refresher

Social Venture Partners Minnesota (SVP) believes that all youth should have opportunities to succeed. So...we  create a network of philanthropists (our Partners - see below), and together we elevate the lives of underserved teens by strengthening the nonprofits that serve them (our Investees - see below too). Guided by our  values  of Impact, Innovation, Community and Equity, SVP addresses entrenched social problems and has real impact on better outcomes for Twin Cities teens.

SVP Partner Video: Nathan Espinosa's Story Feb 2019
SVP Partners  are people who care deeply about youth in our communities. They are inspired to work collaboratively, strategically, with humility and innovation, to make a greater impact on the lives of under-resourced teens.  Through shoulder-to-shoulder work with nonprofit leaders, SVP Partners build meaningful relationships, get hands-on in their philanthropy and apply valuable skills to capacity building projects.

SVP Investees are promising nonprofits that receive up to $75,000 in general operating grants and four times that value in consulting services from SVP Partners over our three year grant relationship.

Want to be part of this unique philanthropy model? We help you amplify your giving! Contact Executive Director,  Ann Herzog-Olson to discuss.

SVP Network News

SVP Minnesota is part of a global network of philanthropists and change-makers who care deeply about impact. Together we work to strengthen our communities and tackle deeply-rooted social challenges. In late March, Kenji Hosokawa, an SVP Tokyo Partner, was in the Twin Cities and had lunch with seven of our Minnesota Partners.  It was an interesting opportunity to meet with and learn more about SVP Tokyo and his role on SVP's international board of directors. Thanks to Guff Van Vooren (who serves on the SVPI Board with Kenji) for setting up the lunch.

We welcome Sudha Nandagopal who recently began her role as new SVP International (SVPI) CEO. Read more about Sudha and her vision for SVPI.
