Welcome Specialized Insurance Group to the Salisbury Business Center
|
|
The
Specialized Insurance Group
is now at the Salisbury Business Center. Why use an independent insurance agency? Because you have the dual benefit of having a local business provide you with advice about the areas in which they live and serve; and perhaps more importantly, independent agencies are not beholden to one insurance carrier and can offer many options from which to choose. This allows your independent insurance agent to provide you with tailored coverage for your needs at a price you can afford.
Specialized Insurance Group carries an abundance of packages for personal, home, auto, and industry-specific insurances. Give them a call! Welcome to the Salisbury Business Center, Specialized Insurance Group!
Call Ryan or Diantha at 704-209-1656.

You may have noticed the large graffiti boards on the undeveloped lot just down the sidewalk from the
Salisbury Business Center
at E. Horah and S. Main Streets. This continually evolving and interactive public art space has been in place for a while . . . but have you noticed the recent activity there? A new ‘Art & Graffiti Park’ is in the works!
The new park will feature approximately 18 art panels and large rocks for artists to paint. There will be gravel walkways and shade trees added, as well as gravel off-street parking. Steven Brown, City of Salisbury Landscape Architect, says that the graffiti walls have resulted in less graffiti in town. It is fun to watch the artwork develop on these walls that will often change daily.
We are excited about the improvements to the park and grateful to the City of Salisbury for updating the aesthetics of this corner along South Main Street. When you stop by the Salisbury Business Center, be sure to check out the progress of the 'Art & Graffiti Park'.

We Hosted Our 1st 'Coffee Morning'
|
|
In an effort to continually become more engaged with our Salisbury-Rowan community, the SBC hosted its first 'Coffee Morning' ~ with guest of honor
Mayor Al Heggins
. With so many evening gatherings, we thought that meeting for coffee, networking, and a breakfast bite in our beautiful facility would be a great way to start your professional workday. And we were right!
|
|
Our drop-in event was a smashing success! Guests from local businesses enjoyed delicious fare provided by the
Sugar Fairy Sweet Shop
in Spencer NC! Mayor Heggins shared her experience with the City Council Planning Retreat that had happened earlier in the week. Good things are happening in
Salisbury!
|
|
The Salisbury Business Center plans to host the
'Coffee Morning'
every other month. Our next planned morning is Thursday May 10th with guest of honor
Rod Crider of the Rowan Economic Development Commission.
The 'Coffee Morning' is an invitation-only event, but if you are interested in joining us, please
register
to be added to our invitation mailing list.
We'd love to have you!

More exciting changes coming to the
300 Block of South Main Street!
|
|
Keep an eye out for the coming changes to the 300 block of South Main Street. Wallace Properties and
The Bogle Firm Architecture
have proposed exterior upgrades to the buildings directly across from the
Salisbury Business Center
. The plans show wonderful modifications to the exteriors of three (3) commercial buildings in the 300 Block of South Main Street, specifically the Mid-Century Modern buildings book-ended by the S.H. Kress Building and building known as the 'Cornerstone Property'. The proposal includes impacts to awnings, exterior walls, and upper-level windows, as well as a major change to the main façade of 310. You'll see changes that include new storefront signage, demolition of existing non-historic light fixtures, new lighted canopies, and a new color paint scheme.
We're thrilled to have these exciting changes coming to the South Main district and we think you will be too.
|
|
The Bogle Firm is working on several other downtown Salisbury projects, helping to reclaim underutilized urban spaces into our historic downtown. In addition to the proposed façade improvements along South Main Street, Bogle downtown projects include the construction of a new 3-story office/apartment building at 201 East Innes Street (formerly characterized by the recently demolished pink granite service station), and the adaptive reuse of the wonderful North Main Street 'Washington Building', where you'll now find fabulous residential units in the upper floors. Thank you,
Bogle Architecture
