Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Our 2017 AGM is scheduled for May 6 at 3:30 p.m. in Columbia Hall. Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting; only members can speak and vote. Members will receive the AGM information package by email, two weeks prior to the meeting.  It was emailed April 22; it  contains important information of concern to members.

Details about proxy voting will also be included in the information package. New this year, attending members may cast a proxy vote for one other member, in addition to their own vote.

To streamline the registration process at the door, we ask that everyone attending (members and non-members), please RSVP to  https://www.naramatacentresociety.org/agm-2017.

Following the AGM, join us for a potluck dinner in

New This Year

In 2017, we are introducing two "Emerging Community" weeks, (July 8-15 and August 26-Sept 2) where people are invited to come and immerse into community without taking a program. We encourage guests to plan and carry out activities together, assisted by community hosts and staff. Do you like to hike? Plan to lead one! Bringing your bike? Let us know and we will encourage others to do the same. Want to have a campfire singalong or a dance for kids? Hop in and take the lead. Last summer this happened organically in weeks with no programs. This year we have set aside two weeks for these experiences to unfold!

A Naramata Testimonial

My husband, Rob, and I came to Naramata Centre last summer for the nostalgia. But we'll be back this summer to build new memories.

The Centre has been close to our hearts for years so it was history that drew us and friends back last year. Our one fun-filled week wasn't nearly long enough. Mornings flew by (my friends and I enjoying programs while Rob volunteered pruning trees), and our afternoons and evenings were decadent: sunning at the beach, sampling fabulous restaurants, visiting local wineries, sharing long talks on the dock at night.

This year, we've signed up for three weeks! And, for part of that time, our adult sons and their families will join us. Our three young grandsons will experience Naramata for the first time! To start creating your new memories, check out the programs and accommodations at Naramata Centre for this year, and book your choices. Rob and I hope to meet you there!

Expressions of Gratitude
Barb Hatfield and Jenne Newman

Program Committee Co-Chairs, Barb and Jenne, have been working tirelessly over the past couple of years to plan, implement and evaluate our Centre programs. They brainstorm the program seasons, seek, select and work with program leaders, create the program calendar, oversee registration, recruit and orient Community Hosts, contribute to policy decisions and so much more! Most recently they have been training staff and supporting the transition to the summer leadership team. We hold these board members in very high esteem! Thank you, Barb and Jenne!
