See! The Bridegroom sets forth in the dead of night. And blessed is that servant whom he shall find on watch; unworthy the one he shall come upon lazing. See to it, soul, that sleep does not overtake you, lest you be given up to death and be shut out of the kingdom. Bestir yourself, then, and sing out: "Holy, holy, holy are You, our God; through the protection of the bodiless powers, save us."

Dyeing of Red Pascha Eggs

We will be dyeing red eggs for the Resurrection Service on Holy Thursday, April 9th. We will begin at 9:00am under the leadership of Aida Nassar.  We will need help with boiling, wiping, oiling, and bagging the eggs.

Blessing of the Paschal Food Baskets

Blessing of the Food baskets is a centuries old tradition in which people from all Orthodox backgrounds participate. The baskets are filled with foods that are used to break the fast: eggs, cheese, meats, and any other festive items to celebrate the Resurrection. A table will be located outside the North door of the church for your baskets. The baskets will be blessed following the Great Canon/Resurrection service which begins on Saturday, April 11th at 11:00pm.

Magiritsa Soup

Join us for a traditional Magiritsa soup as a parish following the Great Canon/Resurrection service. The Magiritsa, lamb and rice soup, is a traditional way to break the fast of Great Lent by introducing meat and dairy back into our diet.

Service Time Change for Sunday, April 12th

Friendly reminder that on Sunday, April 12th, we will not hold our usual morning services. Instead, please join us at 1:00 PM for an Agape service, followed immediately by our community picnic. Regular Sunday Orthros and Divine Liturgy times will resume the following week.

Helping Your Kids Experience Holy Week

For parents, Holy Week brings packed schedules, big emotions and the challenge of keeping children engaged through it all. But this sacred time is also an incredible opportunity to help our children encounter Christ in new and meaningful ways. In this video, Father Jim and Presvytera Donna Pappas join a podcast to explain why Holy Week is so important and to share their best advice for making the experience tangible for children of all ages.
