Nestled in the center of the state, a 45 minute drive from Orlando Seminole State Forest is a host to the majestic biodiversity that makes Florida so special to us. The forest's flatwoods, scrub, blackwater streams, bottomland forests, (and over a dozen other ecosystems!) are home to many of the Everglade State's endangered species. A visit to this hidden gem could earn you a visit from black bears, scrub jays, gopher tortoises, and so much more. Whether you camp on the grounds or just visit during the day, you are welcome to use the multi-purpose trails for hiking, horse back riding, and bike-riding. During open season, you are able to hunt wild hogs, turkeys, and other small game.
