Message From Our Project Director
|
|
In the coming weeks, we’ll announce the organizations that will share $30,000 in mini-grants to provide caregiving services to the residents of Boynton Beach.
These grants, each totaling up to $5,000, will cover the costs of offering services focused on education, awareness, or health/wellness for more than 4,800 caregivers in our community.
We should all be grateful to
Palm Health Foundation
for funding these grants as well as our overall Healthier Boynton Beach initiative.
I’m proud that this will be the second year that we can offer these grants to small and start-up organizations that want to improve life for caregivers and their families. Last year’s
eight organizations
provided line-dancing classes, grandparents support initiative, caregiving education, respite care, and other programs for our caregivers. Their services made a huge difference to caregivers.
We’ll unveil the recipients of the grants at 6 pm on May 20 at Carolyn Sims Center, 225 NW 12th Avenue, in Boynton Beach. All are welcome to attend.
Best Regards,
Ricky Petty
