Is this position a fit for you?  Ask yourself:

Do you want to…

  • Connect, unify, support, and represent the needs of the 101 student media organizations at Cal?

  • Guide how ASUC funds, space, and other resources are allocated to student media organizations?

  • Advise the LEAD Center’s Publications & Media Center in its provision of programs and services?

Could you steward the following resources?

  • $8,000 budget

  • Closed door office space in Eshleman Hall

  • Closed door office space and studio space in MLK

  • Storage space in Hearst Gym

The ASUC Publications and Media Board is a non-partisan ASUC chartered program whose mission is to provide a community forum for student publications and media organizations at Cal, to manage ASUC resources dedicated to this community (including funds and space), and to act as a formal advisor to the Publications & Media Center (PMC).

The CalLink Primary Contact of each student media organization will vote on behalf of their organization in elections on 4/26-27.  Note that this is the date for the Publications and Media Board elections only -- this is not the same as the larger ASUC Senatorial election. General Assembly UX Design Course
It goes without saying: Whether you’re on a website, an app, or in a department store, a good consumer experience is critical. It can mean the difference between a purchase and a drop-off, a loyal customer and a frustrated user, a design fan and a hater. More than ever, companies need people who can wield vital user experience (UX) design skills to create products and experiences that keep customers coming back for more.

If you’ve got a knack for communicating and problem solving and want a hybrid role that intersects with marketing, product management, and engineering, UX design could be the path for you. Start with the essentials with our User Experience Design course, where you’ll learn these in-demand skills from an instructor with real-world experience.
