Dear friends, family, and valued clients!
As the snow melts and the Flathead Valley stretches back into sunshine, April welcomes us with a breath of fresh air and a gentle nudge toward new beginnings. In Bigfork, spring isn't just a change of season, it’s a mindset shift. The lake sparkles a little brighter, gardens start to bloom, and energy returns to the Village as we all look ahead to the vibrant summer months.
Across the country, and especially here in Northwest Montana, spring marks the unofficial start of real estate season. Listings surge as homeowners prepare for the busy summer months, and motivated buyers begin their search in earnest. Why now?
- More daylight & better weather = homes show better.
- Families plan ahead to move before the next school year.
- Inventory climbs, giving buyers more choices.
- Historically, homes listed in spring sell faster and closer to asking price than those in other seasons.
If you’ve been considering listing your home, now is the time to start the conversation. And if you’re buying? Let’s get ahead of the summer rush and explore the options while inventory is fresh.
Going into Easter weekend, I want to wish you and your loved ones a holiday filled with joy, love, and those small, meaningful moments that matter most. Whether you’re gathering with family, hunting eggs, or just taking in the spring sunshine, I hope your weekend is beautiful.
And yes — Ceri is showing off her Easter finery. We couldn’t resist!
Signs of summer are already budding around town:
- The Bigfork Summer Playhouse has announced its 2025 season lineup — grab tickets early!
- The bridge over the Swan River (yes, the bridge) will be back in place just in time for the Fourth of July parade!!!
- Lake Baked is reopened and serving all manner of delicious, and prepping for Monday Market too!
- And of course, one of our most beloved local events is just around the corner...Taste of Bigfork on April 27th!!
We’re proud (quietly, of course) to be ongoing sponsors of the Taste of Bigfork, happening Saturday, April 27th. This cherished local event brings together the best of Bigfork’s food, wine, and community spirit.
Want to join us? We have a few tickets to give away, and we’d love for them to go to clients and friends like you. Enter the drawing below and we’ll announce the winners soon!
Whether you’re looking for your dream home or preparing to list your property, I’m here to support you every step of the way. With deep insight into the local market and a strong commitment to collaboration with buyers' agents, I strive to make every transaction as smooth and transparent as possible.
Over 85% of my listings successfully sell each year — and that’s no accident. With professionalism, strategy, and a friendly approach, I help clients like you navigate the process confidently.
Let’s talk about what this season could bring for you.
Happy Easter and Warmest Wishes,
Denise & Ceri🌷

TESTIMONIAL
You Need Denise Lang with Glacier Sotheby’s Realty, Bigfork in Your Corner!
If you're thinking about buying or selling a house in the Flathead Valley area of Montana, you absolutely should get in touch with Denise Lang. Seriously. This isn't your average agent situation.
Denise is a total rockstar. She knows the Bigfork, and Flathead Lake markets like the back of her hand. Frankly, her knowledge and expertise spans the whole Flathead Valley and Swan Range market. She has worked here as a Realtor for 23 years and worked in the mortgage industry too. She had either bought or sold almost every house we looked at and knew its history. She held our hands through the whole process of buying our new home. No question was too dumb, and Denise always had the answer, or found it out.
Because of Denise we got our dream home in a very difficult area to find the type of property we were looking for. She helped us time things correctly, and get our home within budget. She was extremely thorough about having safety issues inspected and remedied. We felt like Denise had our backs through the whole buying process.
Denise is just a genuinely awesome person; super responsive, and always positive, plus she actually seemed to care that we found the perfect place. Best of all, she's just so easy to work with and to be around. She has a terrific sense of humor and none of that pushy salesperson vibe. Buying a house can be a nightmare. But with Denise by your side, it's actually kind of fun. Do yourself a favor and reach out - you won't regret it!

CERI'S CORNER:
-Easter for Dogs
| |
Hello friends, it’s me — Ceri — your resident real estate pup and springtime style icon. This month, I’m reporting in with happy ears and tail wagging because... it's almost Easter!
As you can see in my photos, I’m showing off my seasonal sparkle alongside my buddy Ginger (aka the fluffiest bunny butt you ever did see). We’re feeling festive, but we’ve got a few things to bark about to make sure all my furry friends have a safe and joyful holiday too!
Beyond the photo ops and holiday vibes, Easter is also a time to be extra thoughtful when it comes to us four-legged family members. There are lots of sights and smells that catch our attention; from sparkly baskets to sweet treats, but not all of them are safe for paws and snouts.
Our pals over at Purina shared some great tips for making Easter just as fun for dogs. One of my favorites is the idea of a pup-friendly Easter egg hunt! You can hide treats or toys in easy-to-find spots in the yard or house, and let us sniff them out. It’s enrichment and snack time — a win-win.
Of course, skip the chocolate, candy, plastic eggs, or artificial grass. Those things can be dangerous (even if they smell delicious). Instead, make us our own little Easter basket with safe goodies: think biscuits, chews, or even a squeaky carrot toy if you’re feeling festive.
However you're spending Easter — whether you’re dressed up like Ginger and me, curled up for a good nap, or bouncing through a spring hike — I hope it’s full of love, joy, and maybe a bacon-flavored treat or two.
Wags and wiggles,
Ceri
(With love from Ginger too)

DENISE'S READING CORNER
-The Librarians of Rue De Picardie
| |
Another one from the New York Times bestselling author Janet Skeslien Charles.
Here she returns with a moving new novel based on the true story of a New York librarian determined to bring books to the children of war-torn France. An instant USA Today bestseller.
Under what was left of the roof of the ruined cottage, a girl with pigtails perched on a pile of rubble, hunched over a book...
1918: As the Great War rages, Jessie Carson leaves the New York Public Library for the American Committee for Devastated France. Joining the women rebuilding French communities, Jessie strives to establish something new - children's libraries. She turns ambulances into bookmobiles and trains the first French female librarians. Then she disappears.
1987: Librarian Wendy Peterson stumbles across a reference to Jessie Carson in the archives. Consumed by her story, Wendy learns that she and the elusive librarian have more in common than the NYPL. Wendy's obsession leads to their paths converging in surprising ways across time.
