The Five Protective Factors in Family Strengthening

Parental Resilience: The ability to cope and bounce back from all types of challenges

Social Support: Friends, family members, neighbors, and others in a community who provide emotional support and concrete assistance to parents

Understanding Child Development: Adequate information about raising young children and expectations for their behavior and needs

Concrete Support: Access to basic needs, such as health care, mental health care and informal support such as emergency child care and nutritional care

Social-Emotional Competence of Children: A child’s ability to interact positively with others and communicate his or her emotions effectively.

Pair it with real fruit punch.
