Please join us in welcoming Megan to the KLCB team! Megan is a senior at Florida Gulf Coast University pursuing a degree in Environmental Studies, with a focus on environmental education. She is passionate about helping others connect with their local environment and fostering a sense of stewardship within the community. Mark your calendars! The annual GO GREEN Golf Fundraiser to benefit Keep Lee County Beautiful will be held on Friday, October 23rd at The Club at Gateway in Fort Myers.

Hazardous Waste Collection Events

Lee County Solid Waste will be holding Household Chemical Waste collection events on the following dates:


May 2nd: 7am-11am - Cape Coral

May 23rd: 8am-12pm - Lehigh Acres

Sanibel Causeway Greatest American Cleanup

Thank you to all of the volunteers at our Sanibel Causeway Greatest American Cleanup! Their hard work removed 400 pounds of litter and debris helping to protect this vital coastal environment.

The Villas Greatest American Cleanup

Our sincere thanks to the dedicated volunteer crew who joined us for the Greatest American Cleanup at The Villas. This long-time group continues to show outstanding commitment to keeping our community clean, and their efforts made a big impact removing over 400 pounds of litter and debris. 

Jim Flemings Ecological Preserve Greatest American Cleanup

This hard working group of volunteers rolled up their sleeves at Jim Fleming Ecological Preserve, proving that small but mighty truly makes a difference. The team removed over 200 pounds of litter and debris, helping protect this unique natural habitat.

Earth Day Greatest American Cleanup

KLCB celebrated Earth Day with a cleanup at Wild Turkey Strand Preserve in Fort Myers. Volunteers removed litter and debris, helping preserve the environment and ensuring it remains a pristine space for the community to enjoy. Thank you to everyone who spent their Earth Day giving back and making a positive impact.


Global Youth Service Day

Our Global Youth Service Day brought together youth volunteers with hands-on service projects. From mulching to planting, a litter cleanup, and making reusable bags, the youth not only made a positive impact in our community but also gained a deeper understanding of the importance of environmental stewardship.

Keep Lee County Beautiful, Inc., established in 1989, is the county’s largest volunteer-based community action and education organization. This local nonprofit forms public-private partnerships and programs that engage individuals to take greater responsibility for improving their community environments.
