Membership Appreciation Month Brought to you by:
Hello KV Chamber Members,

The Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce would like to officially announce April is Membership Appreciation Month. This entire month is devoted to celebrating and highlighting the success of our members. Being a KV Chamber member means that you understand the importance of supporting local community enrichment, and what better way to celebrate enriching the community than by raffling off fantastic locally donated prizes.

We're celebrating our community and members by raffling off donated prizes throughout the month of April. We will be highlighting the diversity of our members on our Facebook page throughout the entire month! Each prize corresponds with one of our membership categories, and all the prizes are donated by members. We will post the weekly winners every Friday in April. If you want a chance to win some awesome giveaways, please like and follow our Facebook page to get updates on the daily raffles.

The month of April is the perfect time to begin attending our KV Chamber events if you're not already. With the world coming back together, there is no better time to meet your new fellow members and reconnect with the old at a Business After Hours or a Women's Network Luncheon!

Finally, we would like to share our heartfelt thanks for being a Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce member. Our entire four-women show and our dedicated board of directors are grateful for your continued support of our mission of fostering economic development, providing social networking opportunities, championing community outreach, and providing educational seminars. The success and achievement of the Chamber is tied to our members, and we are happy to support your prosperity for many years to come.

Thanks for your continued support,

Katie, Lindsay, Melissa & Iris

Join Rachel Zaccaria, certified nurse-midwife, who will discuss a wide array of health topics over a woman's life span. When should you get a mammogram? What do you need to know about bone density? These are real and important questions to answer. Rachel will provide a high-level overview and will take questions from the audience.

MOGFA Business Program
Bumper Crop is a Maine employer-funded program administered by MOFGA in partnership with the Maine Federation of Farmers Markets. Employers provide vouchers to employees to spend at their local farmer's markets through the program. In 2021, over 700 Mainers utilized Bumper Crop vouchers at thirty-six markets, with a voucher spending total of over $30,000. Plus 92% of the employees spent their cash along with their vouchers, which resulted in a total spending impact at farmer's markets due to Bumper Crop being upwards of $80,000!
Would you like to get on board? MOFGA and MFFM encourage any employees working in Maine to ask their Human Resources or employee benefits officer to contact us to look into this wellness program. With more Maine people purchasing and eating more Maine food at their local farmer's markets thanks to their employer's support, it's a win-win-win for Maine!

Trek Across MaineÔÇô Call for Volunteers

The American Lung Association saves lives by fighting for healthy lungs and healthy air. Today, our fight is more important than ever, and 90 cents of every dollar raised by our organization goes directly to education, research, and advocacy.

Join the American Lung Association and support the 38th annual Trek Across Maine, a multi-day cycling event with as many as 1,500 cyclists and over 600 volunteers each year. Our volunteers provide support both along the route and at each finish line that makes our cyclists' experience second to none! We have fun, make friends, and help others while holding one of the largest fundraisers in Maine.
Volunteer positions are available for the entire weekend or just a few hours. We need your helping hands...will you join us?

We have a new route this year starting at Thomas Point Beach & Campground (Brunswick), moving on to Bates College (Lewiston), then St. Joseph's College (Standish), returning to Brunswick. We have a variety of scheduling options. REGISTER NOW!

All volunteers under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult guardian at all times. All volunteers must be fully vaccinated.
