National Volunteer Month

Giving Back Through Mentorship

Mentoring is an important part of personal and professional development. Statistics reveal that 71% of Fortune 500 companies credit mentoring programs for their employees' success (source: The National Mentoring Partnership). However, research shows that 71% of executives choose to mentor employees who are of the same gender or race (Source: Harvard Business Review). This statistic highlights the need for more mentorship opportunities among people of color. Organizations such as The Partnership Inc., Conexion, Tomorrow's Women TODAY, and MENTOR play a vital role in connecting professionals to mentoring opportunities.

Through the act of mentoring, mentors not only share their knowledge and expertise but also contribute to building stronger, more resilient communities for generations to come.

Empowering Autism in the Workplace

Spotlight on Autism Awareness Month

In observance of April as Autism Awareness Month, emphasis is placed on addressing autism in the workplace. Creating inclusive environments through awareness training and accommodations is crucial, given that approximately 1 in 36 children and roughly 5.4 million adults in the U.S. are on the autism spectrum (CDC,2023). Embracing neurodiversity benefits both employees and employers, fostering a more equitable and productive workplace.
