The 3 days spent at the NEC for the Sign & Digital show 2016 were extremely rewarding. Shown on the D&K stand were the Atlas MF 165 multifunction laminator for Mounting, Laminating and Encapsulating alongside the X-Y Trimmer in which there was considerable interest from various sectors of the market, not least for the growing interest in digital wallpaper production.
The new small format, fully automatic Neptune laminator also had a preview before its official launch at Drupa next month. Very much aimed at the digital print market, John Hancock, UK & Ireland Sales Manager commented "it hasn't missed a beat whilst running at 15m/minute and delivering around 2,000 SRA3 sheets per hour and it's no bigger than a photocopier, low volume digital press or many hand-fed laminators. The award winning B2 Europa and Double-sided Europa PB models are compact and have been installed at a number of digital print shops but you can fit two of these into the space taken up by one Europa so it opens up the potential for the smaller print shop where space is at a premium to gain the control, improve lead times and margins by keeping the work in house."
