2019 Rule Changes

Know the Rules!
Each previous fall/winter 2018 JLGolf newsletter has included one of the newly updated Rules of Golf for 2019! Knowing the (new) rules can save you strokes & time! Here are all of them in one place, plus a summary article from Golf Digest to further narrow down the most important changes.

Previous "Rule of the
Week" Videos

Rule 14.3 Now shows that there will be a relief "area". As you can see from above, you take club lengths around your drop line on both sides to form a half-circle as your "relief area". Penalty strokes give you 2-club lengths, free drops give you 1-club length.
