Two new candidates also address the group. Becky Nafzinger is running for Platte County Clerk. She is planning on working with John DeFoor, candidate for Platte County Presiding Commissioner, for better Platte County government.

Sarah Shorter saw the there was no Democratic candidate for Missouri Senate District 34 and decided to enter the election. She is disappointed by how poorly state government operates and she knows she can bring about a change for the better.
