NEW: Building Your Business Workshop Series

MACC is excited to be partnering with Reinventing Rural to bring the Building Your Business workshop series to Maupin via livestream watch parties on Tuesday mornings in April & May. These events are FREE, open to all, and come with perks like coffee and pastries!

No registration is required - just show up! And feel free to bring an employee, business partner, spouse, friend or neighbor!

The first watch party is next Tuesday, April 11th and will be held at the Imperial River Company meeting room, on the topic of:

B R A N D I N G + C O N T E N T M A R K E T I N G

These livestream events are a chance to gain valuable insight from subject matter experts (and ask questions!) without having to leave town. This workshop series applies to small businesses in any phase. The tools & principles that will be covered can be implemented whether you are planning to launch a new idea or enterprise or wanting to reinvigorate or rebrand an existing business. This series is NOT about selling you something - these workshops are being offered for free thanks to grant funding from Business Oregon. Email coordinator@maupinoregon.com with any questions.

We hope to see some of you on Tuesday mornings in April & May!

Are you Hiring? Sign up for a table at the
South Wasco County High School Job Fair on April 12th

The event is open exclusively to students from 5-6 pm and then opens to the public from 6 - 7 pm and will take place in the High School Gymnasium.

Employers: We are inviting any and all employers, educational programs and training programs who might want to hire or sign up students or adults in our community!

Last year many students had impromptu interviews at the fair and many students were hired! This year businesses can recruit adults as well!

Contact the high school careers teacher Marni Malefyt with any questions.

MACC Business After Hours: April 20th

Business after Hours is back in April and will be hosted at the Maupin Civic Center. Our first presenter will be Ian Eppley of Avangrid Renewables who will share an update about the Bakeoven solar project. For the second half of the evening, we are delighted to be hosting Brad Attig, founder of Reinventing Rural, for a conversation about rural economies and entrepreneurial growth. Reinventing Rural offers tools, training, and guidance to foster new startup business growth and access to funding - and we aspire to bring this energy to South Wasco County - soon! Come with your questions and concerns and join us for a lively discussion about ways we can move our communities towards greater prosperity. Reinventing Rural is actively doing this work in Wheeler, Gilliam and Sherman counties, as well as many other parts of the state. This event is open to all - we hope to see you there!
