2024 Spring Showcase

SAVE THE DATE! June 2nd, 2024

Our theme for this year's showcase is called Page to Stage. This year's showcase will be based on the translation of text into dance! Our reason for having a Spring Showcase theme is to bring more awareness to the creative process. Kinetics takes pride in the fact that our year-end showcase is more than a recital. It's the display of a choreographic study with consideration of how we connect dance to the world around us. Currently registered families were sent the showcase packet on April 5th.

~Dance Classes

Summer is a great time to try something new or maintain your current dance practice.

Our 7-week Summer Term will run from Monday, June 24th – Saturday, August 10th. We will be closed July 4th-6th.

~Dance Intensive

Our week-long Summer Dance Intensive is scheduled for August 12th–16th from 9am -3pm. Our intensive provides a holistic educational experience for passionate dance students ages 8-17. Registration & scheduling information is coming soon!

~Dance Camps

KDT partners with Howard County Recreation & Parks to offer several dance camps each summer. Camps are open for children ages 3.5-9. Camps run Monday–Friday from 9am-Noon. Registration takes place through the HCRP site. Here's what we're offering!

Join the Kinetics NHSDA Chapter!

Kinetics Dance Theatre is proud to host a chapter of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts. NHSDA recognizes artistic merit, leadership, and academic achievement in dance students. Throughout the academic year, NHSDA members provide service to the KDT community and beyond. This program is open for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders.

Prospective NHSDA members should email Artistic Director, Liz Quinones by Tuesday, April 30th for application details: liz@kineticsdance.org

Kinetics Dance Company will be showcasing a revisited duet, Recollect, at MAD Dance’s FREE Intentional Terrarium event in Frederick on Saturday, April 27th at 3pm, 5pm & 7pm! More information can be found here.

Support KDT's Kinetics Youth Ensemble's Spring production of Spectrum 2024! If you are able, please consider donating to KYE's production. Putting together a dance concert is costly. Costumes, a higher capacity theater and technology like projections & lighting will add so much to our production. We can't do it alone! KDT strives to bring accessible dance classes and performance to the community. Your support impacts the KYE and KDT as a whole.
