A MESSAGE FROM THE CEO

Dear Friends of the Ronald McDonald House,

As we step into spring, we continue to be inspired by the many ways our community comes together to support families navigating a child’s medical journey.

A little over two months ago, we opened a long-time dream of ours: the Ronald McDonald House Family Room at Mayo Clinic Hospital–Saint Marys Campus. In the first two months alone, 1,550 families checked into the Family Room, nearly 3,000 individuals utilized the space, and 74 local Olmsted County families found comfort and support there.

These early milestones are a powerful reminder that family presence matters. When families have a place to pause, recharge, and remain close to the care their child needs, it can make a meaningful difference during some of life’s hardest moments.

There are many meaningful ways to stay connected to this work. Whether it’s serving a meal, joining us for a tour, or simply reaching out to learn more, your engagement helps make spaces like the Ronald McDonald House and the Family Room possible for the families who need them.

Thank you for being part of the work that keeps families close when they need it most.

PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES

Celebrating our Volunteers

Every day at the Ronald McDonald House, small but meaningful moments make a big difference.

A warm meal after a long day at the hospital. A child laughing during an activity. A parent finding a moment to rest.

These moments are made possible by our volunteers.

During Volunteer Appreciation Month, we’re recognizing the individuals who give their time and care to support families when they need it most. Whether they are preparing meals, welcoming guests, or simply showing up with kindness, our volunteers help make the House feel like home.

Collectively, their impact is extraordinary—our volunteers have contributed more than 1,600 years of service to families at the Ronald McDonald House.

Because of them, families don’t have to go through a medical journey alone.

We are so grateful for each and every volunteer who chooses to be part of this work.
