Summer Internship
The LEARN Summer Internship was implemented to provide our students with the opportunity to gain work experience, build professional development skills, and earn money to support themselves to and through college. Applications for the 2020 summer internship are now live. The deadline to apply is April 24th at 11:59pm.

Lincoln Park Zoo
The Zoo Intern Program (ZIP) is an eight-week summer program internship at the zoo for underserved Chicago high school students between the ages of 15-18. Interns receive five days of training from zoo staff and scientists and then serve seven weeks as paid zoo interpreters. Throughout their experience, ZIP interns interact with researchers and animal-care staff in behind-the-scenes tours and informal presentations. For many, these experiences provide a foundation for future environmental and community-building efforts.

DePaul University College Connect
Designed for high school sophomores and juniors, the program introduces students to college-level coursework, while also providing college readiness workshops, career exploration opportunities and diverse cultural experiences. College Connect tuition, books and course materials are FREE to admitted students, and CTA Ventra cards for commuting to DePaul will be provided.

Alumni Survey
Thank you to the alumni that have completed our survey geared towards understanding your experience at LEARN. For the first 25 alumni, we will be reaching out to you soon. This survey was created to get your feedback on your academic experience at LEARN. To help keep the ball rolling all those that have completed the survey by April 30th will be entered for a chance to win a $25 Starbucks or Target gift card.

Alumni Events
Unfortunately, all alumni events have been postponed until further notice but we are beyond excited to begin the process of hosting alumni events! Even though we are in hard times we still want to show that we are here for you so please send in suggestions for how we can engage everyone during this time.
Tip of the Month
Create a structure and strict schedule in order to stay motivated while working from home and engaging in online learning opportunities. Designate a space in your home to work, make a list of deadlines and assignments, and even get dressed as if you are leaving the house to help with your structure. A strict sleep schedule will also aid in reducing the stress.
Alumni Spotlight
These alumni are recognized for exuding the core values of high expectations and bringing the LEARN mission to life.
