Missions Spotlight:  The Nicholson Family

Although there is freedom of religion in Thailand, only .06% of the 67 million are Christian. The majority of the population are Buddhist (94%) and Muslim (5%). Gregg and Julie Nicholson met in Bangkok and have served there for twenty years. Their mission organization is United World Mission and their primary focuses are: leadership development, church planting, and teaching. They spent half of 2018 in the USA, helping their daughter, Joy, settle into Liberty University. Liberty has a new program, which helps missionary kids with this transition. In November, FPC's Missions Ministry Team met with Gregg. He expressed his gratitude for FPC's support.

One way God has recently stirred the hearts in Thailand is through the Franklin Graham Bangkok Festival (formerly "Crusade"). Prior to the event, churches are united to build a prayer movement in the city and train Thai believers to share their faith.

"This is not 'mass evangelism,' but personal evangelism on a massive scale." Gregg reports that pastors were crying as people came forward. All local churches (580) are working to follow up with over 3,800 new believers and integrate them into churches. There are 7 new believers in Gregg's church alone.
