Redlands Roundabout Art

The Arts and Culture Commission then submitted a call for artists and selected an experienced local artist. The City has budgeted to complete about 2/3 of the approved design with the full build-out being contingent on fundraising by the Arts and Culture Commission, working with the Grand Valley Parks and Recreation Foundation. These groups are launching a fundraising campaign to complete the project.

Donations may be made at the Grand Valley Parks and Recreation Foundation: www.gvparf.org. If the fundraising campaign is successful, the third element, the Ram in the center of the roundabout will be installed along with the already funded mother and baby ram and the sparring rams.

Arts Grants Awarded

Since 1990, the Arts Commission Art Grants have supported non-profit organizations in bringing unique, impactful, and high-quality cultural experiences to the citizens of the Grand Valley, thereby creating connectivity and a more desirable place to live, work, and play. In 2022, twenty organizations received funding ranging from $1000-$4200. This allows these organizations to bring cultural projects ranging from festivals, dance, theatrical performances, art camp, art exhibits, and musical concerts to the City of Grand Junction!

Have you noticed a decline in your tree’s health? You may have an Ash tree on your property. We are here to help! Ash trees make up 20% of Grand Junction trees, and pests are killing these trees at an alarming rate. We are teaming up with T4 Tree Service to deliver Grand Junction residents the opportunity to protect their Ash trees against these killer pests.

The program opens on Arbor Day, April 23, 2022. People will join the program by filling out an electronic sign-up document which will be available on the City Website.  Following registration in the program, T4 will evaluate and treat trees based on program qualifications.
